TAROT MEDITATION
In this exercise, we are using the Tarot card as “an outer mirror for the internal process”. Choose any card from the major arcana, which appeals to you at this particular moment. Gaze at the chosen card for some time, then close you eyes. Imagine yourself before a door. Depending on whether you are a visual or tactile type of person, attempt to actually ’see’ or ‘feel’ the door, focusing the mind on every small detail. When the picture is clear, open the door.Let the scene displayed in the Tarot card that you have chosen unfold in front of you. If you can see it all at once, well and good, otherwise build the picture bit by bit. What kind of landscape have you stepped into? Take your time to ‘fill in’ the details. Add anything, which will make it more real for you.When the scene is clear, imagine the figure from the Tarot card walking into it. If the card shows a seated figure, you can imagine yourself rounding a bend and coming across the person. Greet him or her much as you would anyone you are meeting and hold a conversation. Say anything you like, ask questions and get answers. Don’t try to force the pace. Let yourself respond completely to what is taking place in the scene visualized. This is a process of self-revelation, of opening your heart and mind to what you stand for and are at the present moment in your life.

Cleansing Nature
Rain
There are times when we might feel the need to wash away all of our troubles and call forth freshness into our lives. Since the most cleansing substance on this earth is probably water, we can think of the joy rain brings as an energetic bath, rejuvenating our minds, bodies, and souls. Just being able to spend a few moments every time it rains to become aware of the healing powers water brings to us can renew us in so many ways. As we do this we will find that the more we appreciate the universe’s gift to us in the form of rain, the more we can see that a gentle rain shower is a strong reflective tool that has the ability to cleanse our entire being. The next time it rains might be a good chance to experience the rain through all of your senses, allowing you to truly understand the importance of each and every drop of water. First, take a few minutes to look outside and notice how each individual raindrop seems to come down in a continual stream. By noticing this you can contemplate how it takes many small accomplishments to create the whole of your existence for nothing exists in isolation. Then you might wish to focus your attention on the sound of the rainfall, letting the sounds of drops penetrate into the innermost recesses of your self. Listening in this way may bring you a greater sense of connection with nature and the world around you, knowing that the sounds you hear are an integral part of not just the physical sustenance you require but that they also nourish your spirit.Consciously using our senses to feel nature’s healing energy as it comes to us in the form of rain is an act of internal cleansing. Just as the rain physically washes over the earth and rinses out any impurities and imperfections, it also bathes our spirit in the joy that comes from knowing that we are one with the world around us.

Colour in Tarot
The colours of each tarot deck have their own symbolic meanings. These colours carry meaning for us in our daily life as well as for their metaphysical or esoteric value. Within each card, take note of the colours throughout the card, be it the background, possibly the sky, landscape or the clothing, buildings, amulets or tools used within the card. The following list of colours and their “basic” meanings add to the interpretation of the card. Meditation on certain colours within the card often help “clear the blocks” sometimes experienced during a reading.
White – purity, healing, white shadow (animus), union through the mind, new intellectual frontier, purity, protection
Black – the unknown, black shadow (anima), dark side of the soul, letting go, yet offering the “black hole” of endless possibilities
Brown – earth, practical issues, the home and family, grounding, application, implementation and production
Pink – emotional love, harmony, self-love, friendship
Red – heart, soul, willpower, vitality, love, passion, courage
Orange – energy, vitality, joy, life force, strength
Yellow – sun, consciousness, zest for life, clairvoyance, communication
Green – healing love, prosperity, fresh, newness, promising, inexperienced, and immature
Blue – open sky, space and clear water, spirituality, tranquillity, meditation
Purple – the soul, spirituality, intuition, healing, guidance

Want to revitalise your senses?
In our society there are endless distractions which tends to overload our senses – we quickly become desensitised. This makes us less aware of the truth of the moment, what the energy is really revealing to us so we don’t witness the magical wonders and synchronicity of l
ife. So how do we turn down the noise and reconnect so that we may feel the truth and beauty once more? This six senses walk will help…
Pick a walk that you like to do of about 2 miles or so in duration. Ideally it should be in nature but it could also be done in a city park or along the banks of a river.
Sight
The eyes tend to focus on the most prominent object in front of them. It is possible however to see all in the periphery too. If we can switch to delocalised viewing by seeing everything in the periphery, there is less tendency for our consciousness to be locked into the point of focus. So walk for a few hundred yards seeing as much as possible in your complete field of view without focussing on any one thing. You may find you’re suddenly drawn to something – like a bird for example – but then quickly move back to the place of expanded vision. Observe colours, shapes, contrast, shadows etc.
Sound
For the next few hundred yards, focus on the sense of hearing. Listen out for birds or the rustle of trees, the flow of water for example. Practice connecting with subtle sounds too like the breeze across your face or the beating of your own heart. It helps to have the mouth slightly open because the sounds reverberate around it.
Taste
Take a piece of your favourite fruit with you. Stop in a quiet place. Before you take a bite, contemplate the fruit deeply, feel yourself connecting with it. Observe the colour, fragrance and texture. Move your consciousness into your mouth as you bite into it. Focus on the tongue moving it through the food as you chew. Be fully in the taste of the fruit and chew fully before swallowing.
Smell
The sense of taste and smell tend to go hand in hand so move to this next. Focus for the next few hundred yards on breathing deeply through the nose and picking up all of the scent that you can.
Touch
Pause for a moment and connect with how your body is feeling. Your muscles for example or the rise and fall of your lungs. Then expose one of your arms and gently run your finger tips up and down it as lightly as possible. Do the same to the other arm. Now focus on your walking – be fully connected to the experience as the weight moves gently from one leg to the other. Be fully in control as you lift and place down the feet. Be fully conscious of every feeling within the movement. Do this slowly for about 50 yards.
5 senses together
Next bring everything you have practised together taking in as many of the sights, sounds, flavours, smells and feelings you can. Be fully observant like this for the next few hundred yards. You may find you tend to focus on something in particular but if so, keep moving back out to expanded, non localised observation.
Sixth sense: Intuition
By now, hopefully you should find the mind has become much more still. In this place, it is easier for our higher selves and guiding consciousness to ’speak to us’. This may be through the movement of an animal, insect or bird. It could be through cloud patterns or even the number plates on passing cars. The purpose of such guidance is to help us release tension and efforting inside so that we may feel more joy and unconditional love for all life.
So as your attention is ‘pulled’ to the circumstances surrounding you, have ‘one eye turned inwards’ and notice how it is making you feel. Attune to these feelings and over time they will help you unfold your authentic inner beingness.
This process can be used to answer a specific question in life that is important to you at the moment. This can be initiated by posing the question internally “what is the energy of the moment revealing to me now?” Then if you feel yourself being drawn to something in particular, just make a mental note of exactly what you notice without necessary trying to understand the purpose – be patient though, it requires much perseverance to fully understand what is being shown to us. It is very similar to learning a new language.
In my experience any guidance received always invites us to confront and release inner attachments that we may unfold and expand our inner authentic beingness.

Winter Prosperity SpellGather your supplies:
A piece of ribbon from Yule in your favorite color at least 12 inches long.
A green candle
A bit of Myrrh oil
Ritual:
Rub a few drops of Myrrh oil into the candle and light it.
Tie nine knots in the ribbon while reciting this rhyme:
“By the count of one, this spell’s begun,
By the count of two, prosperity’s due,
By the count of three, I’ll have no more need,
By the count of four, abundance galor,
By the count of five, this spell’s alive,
By the count of six, prosperity’s fixed,
By the count of seven, blessings given,
By the count of eight, I seal my fate,
By the count of nine, praise the Goddess divine!”
Pass the tied ribbon through the smoke from the candle three times. Put the ribbon in a safe place for the next year looking and meditating on it if you need extra strength throughout the year. As the next year commences, burn the old ribbon and empower a new one!

The Highly Sensitive And Highly Aware
Something amazing is happening on planet Earth. Over the last century, several successive cohorts of individuals have been born who are highly sensitive, highly aware, spiritual and purpose-driven. They think outside the box, run high levels of energy and experience a greater spectrum of reality than many of those who have come in before. In some ways this is nothing new. Indigos are in fact “old souls” and if you look into their eyes you will see depths of human history and experience. People who fit this description have been present throughout the life of the Earth, providing the catalyst for our growth and expansion.
What is new are the numbers. There are many, many of the highly sensitive and highly aware among us. And perhaps there is also something new about our bodies and minds – evolving to better accommodate these evolutionary changes.
Those who have seen and recognized this pattern have sometimes called it the “Indigo” phenomenon. The word Indigo refers to a deep, rich color of purple/blue that has been associated with higher level of consciousness, of finer, more exquisite energies. It is associated with the third eye chakra, the energy center which orchestrates our ability to transcend physical realities, grow toward enlightenment, and manifest what is important in life.
Difference Between The Cohorts:
With each new generation the overall spectrum of sensitivity and awareness appears to be increasing. This creates challenges related to living in the current physical reality. In other words, those Indigos who experience the greatest continuum of sensitivity and awareness have the most difficulty fitting into the world.
On the other hand, each successive wave of Indigos is better able to utilize and adapt to their sensitivities and awarenesses because of evolutionary shifts in their bodies and minds.
These two (sometimes contradictory) dynamics have resulted in a unique expression of the Indigo energy in different generations. Of course, as we would expect, there are also vast individual differences both in degree of sensitivity and awareness, and in coping with the world and adapting to the internal changes.
Also, as with any widespread change, individuals may exhibit Indigo giftedness in some areas of their lives and not in others.
That being said, there are a number of characteristics shared by Indigos of all types and ages.
Characteristics Common To All Indigos:
1. High level of intelligence – this applies to emotional intelligence as well as to IQ;
2. Creativity – both in ideas and artistic expression;
3. Spiritual interests and aptitude (may be latent if upper chakras are blocked, but quickly blossoms when they are opened);
4. An array of intuitive and/or psychic experiences;
5. Sensitivity to nuances – sees life in grays rather than black and white;
6. Huge caring hearts – wanting to heal others and the planet (may be hidden by layers of defenses when this has proved too difficult);
7. Thinking outside the box – not satisfied with traditional ways of thinking and problem-solving;
8. Sensitive to the pain of the world – may have difficulty watching the evening news or feel belly-anguish when children or animals are harmed;
9. Perceptive in human interactions – can quickly assess the emotional temperature of a room when entering it;
10. Aware of and sensitive to the unspoken desires and demands of others;
11. Has the ability (usually untrained and difficult to manage) to merge with the thoughts and energies of others, and thus may struggle with boundaries;
12. Hyper-aware of sensory stimuli – may be easily overwhelmed;
13. Ability to accomplish great things when heart and mind are focused in the same direction;
14. Holds a high value on finding purpose and meaning in life, and is often preoccupied with the pursuit of this;
Experience Of The First Wave Of Indigos:
The first wave of Indigos tends to either operate within the boundaries of traditional society, and to experience huge internal conflicts along the way, OR to opt out from the mainstream and live a hermit-like lifestyle. They often feel responsible for everyone and everything around them. Coupled with high sensitivity and awareness, this can create massive internal burdens with corresponding blockages in energy flow and increase in levels of stress.
Characteristics of the Second Wave of Indigos:
The generations between about the ages of 14 and 40 (as of this writing in 2006) experienced a second wave of indigo energy. This manifested in the twin phenomenon of a) increase in the spectrum of sensitivity/awareness, with parallel divergence from the majority of society, AND b) adaptive changes in the mind-body which have made running these new energies more effective.
This is the group of Indigos which has been described in books such as Lee Carroll’s The Indigo Children. These individuals share all or most of the characteristics of the Indigo cohort, with the addition of many of the following:
1. Has the ability to communicate by thought, not only by word;
2. Refuses to conform to the norm, to the mainstream: marches to his or her own drummer;
3. May not do well in school – impatient with institutions which perpetuate the status quo, and are not a fit for his or her experiences and abilities;
4. Difficulty in service-oriented jobs – resists authority and caste system of employment;
5. Alienation from or anger with politices – feeling their voice won’t count or that the outcome really doesn’t matter;
6. Trouble focusing on tasks – may jump around in conversations – may be give label of Attention Deficit Disorder;
7. Can see, feel, or otherwise experience the world of energy – old scientific paradigms are deemed irrelevant;
8. Aware of other worlds and other dimensions of reality;
9. Unconcerned and unmotivated by societal values;
10. VERY concerned with authenticity – says, does and feels what comes from deep inside, and refuses to play the usual social games; has difficulty tolerating any form of insincerity in others;
11. Doesn’t fit in – experiences life as an outsider; may be lonely;
12. May seem listless or lost – not capable of being content with ordinary life in the absence of purpose or meaning;
13. Periods of depression and sometimes suicidality – especially during teen years when differences from the norm and high sensitivities can be overwhelming;
14. Has paranormal experiences such as clairvoyance, hearing or seeing things, or premonitions about the future;
15. Able to manifest amazing things through intention (may be latent because of difficulties finding a direction for his/her energies);
16. May experience unexplained electrical phenomenon such as watches stopping, computers crashing, lights going on and off – This may be associated with periods of high emotional or psychic energy;
17. Reactive to toxins of all kinds in the environment – may have multiple allergies;
18. Aware of the inner-connectedness of everyone and everything in the world – what some have called the “web” or “lattice” of Oneness in which life is lovingly held;
The Third Wave:
The third wave of the Indigo phenomenon has been called the “Crystal Children.” These children are all still young, as of this writing. They tend to be more sensitive and aware than their predecessors, yet to be less conflicted about living this out in the world. Perhaps this is due to the fact that many of their parents are Indigos, and thus they have had an easier time adapting to an often alien world. They seem to have fewer limiting beliefs about themselves and their ability to manifest their purpose and live authentically within societal and physical realities.
